ABOUT CLIVE

C live was born and raised in Fleetwood in Lancashire, where he still lives. At 16 he left school and worked as a dock worker and a milkman before going to Lancaster University in his mid-twenties and gaining a BA (hons) and Masters degree in politics.

Clive worked for the TGWU (now Unite the Union) and then as parliamentary assistant to Joan Humble, MP for the Blackpool North & Fleetwood constituency. In 1994 he was elected to Wyre Borough Council and in 1999 to Lancashire County Council and served on both until elected as Police and Crime Commissioner in 2012.

CLIVE'S EXPERIENCE:


Clive was the leader of Wyre Borough Council Labour Group and has also served for a number of years as a Cabinet Member on Lancashire County Council

Clive was also a member of Lancashire Police Authority and served as the Chair of their Resources Committee.

Clive is passionate about fighting against social injustice, prejudice and intolerance.

As Lancashire's Police & Crime Commissioner, Clive has campaigned to defend the most vulnerable.
